Megan, LBSW
Case Manager

Megan is a devoted advocate for all human rights and has been an ally to the LGBTQA+, from a young age. She values moral courage and provides a safe, accepting space for everyone that walks through her door. Megan has a bachelor’s dual degree of Social Work (Minot State University) and Human Development Family Sciences (NDSU), with a minor in Psychology. While in college, she was a member of the Gold Star Marching Band for four years and played frontline instruments (marimba, xylophone, etc).

She came to Canopy in May of 2025 with eight years of experience working with those living with HIV as well as working with those living in poverty. She also has five years of experience working closely in the medical community. She has been a licensed bachelor's level social worker in the Fargo-Moorhead area since September of 2014, and is well connected to resources, especially housing, mental health services and substance use programs. She started her social work career, working with those living with HIV and now she is thrilled to be at Canopy and return to serving the HIV community and re-connecting with people and families she met 11 years ago.

Music is her passion. She plays piano and guitar and wants to learn several other instruments. Nature is her safe place. She loves exploring state and national parks by hiking, biking and going on road trips. When she’s not traveling or spending time with friends or family, she’s home with her loving kitties, Felix and Greta.

If you’re in need of some guidance of local resources, please feel free to reach out to Megan.
