Canopy is offering COVID-19 antibody testing to all individuals aged 16+.

Antibody testing is a blood test that detects a past exposure to the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Common questions we receive about COVID-19 Antibody testing:

How is the test performed?

This is a blood draw.

Do I need to be a previous patient of Canopy for testing?

No.

How long do the results take to get back?

2-4 days.

Do I have to have symptoms to get the test?

No. This test is not for someone who has current symptoms. This test detects a past exposure to COVID-19, not a current infection. If you are having current symptoms, we recommend you contact Essentia or Sanford for testing.

How much does the test cost?

Most insurance companies are covering the cost of COVID-19 testing. We always recommend calling your insurance for coverage details for your specific plan. If your insurance does not cover any of the expenses, or if you do not have insurance, the cost of the lab test plus the nurse visit to have your blood drawn is 120.00.

How accurate is the test?

As of May 14th, the manufacturer of the test reports accuracy between 95-100%.
