TelePrEP FAQs
What is Tele-PrEP?
TelePrEP is a way for you to connect with a provider to discuss starting Truvada (PrEP) for HIV prevention. The TelePrEP program allows you to virtually connect to a provider who can prescribe you PrEP through telemedicine. This means you can use your personal electronic devices to have provider “visits” without having to leave your community. You can see, hear, and speak to a provider to discuss your PrEP medical care by video chat. TelePreP is available for MN, ND and SD residents. TelePrEP allows you to access lab work, appointments and prescriptions regardless of your location across the tri-state region.

How does it work?
Self-enroll in our TelePrEP program. After the enrollment form has been submitted you will receive electronic forms to fill out via email within approximately 1 business day. We will contact you by your preferred communication method to discuss where you would like to get labs completed. Initial lab orders will be sent to the lab of your choice. Once we receive lab results, we will contact you to schedule a telehealth. If PrEP is right for you, we will send a prescription to your desired pharmacy. For a telehealth appointment, you will need access to a phone, tablet or computer that has a stable internet connection, camera and speakers. We use a secure, HIPPA-compliant platform for all telehealth appointments. **You can always give us a call to schedule a TelePrEP appointment directly!**
